Juliette films is freelance cinematographer and editor Juliette Sutherland, with a focus on promotional videos and documentary. Juliette has been working in film for over 10 years in both documentary, narrative film and TV. She is the chairwomen of the Maine chapter of Women in Film and Video New England.
Juliette studied documentary film and anthropology in the rural hills of Vermont at Marlboro College. She is an avid traveler and curious explorer, having produced both short and long form documentaries all over the world. She's worked on documentaries in Nicaragua, Belize, Cuba, and India, co-produced a TV show in Vermont, and worked on various short films while living in Paris. Her short film about ethical chocolate in Nicaragua won best documentary at the Women in Film International Film Showcase.
Juliette bring these skills to her promotional work and music videos as well as corporate events and weddings. Her favorite is collaborating, but can also melt into the background and simply observe, capturing intimate moments. The editing style is rhythmic, full of movement and showcasing the human quality in us all. Juliette loves working with creators and makers, bringing their work, process and story to life in new ways. She's worked with jewelers, boat builders, painters and dancers. She listens carefully to her clients to actualize their unique vision.
